I was sitting down below a Clintwood fan who repeatedly yelled obscenities out to the refs and continued to do so when Coleman was injured down near the endzone. I don't think you can classify one group of people when there are clearly fools on both sides.
If anyone thinks I'm making it up just to balance things out, I captured the footage and you can hear the loud-mouth on almost every play, shouting out something new or repeating the same thing over and over again, with the most annoying voice you've ever heard in your life. He sounded like the Cajun guy from The Waterboy, if that's any indication as to just how bad it was. He was located at the very top of the bleachers at the 35-40 yard line closest to the hillside. </div></div>
Is that the one they call burrhead? </div></div>
I don't know what his name was, nor do I care. All I know is that he was a jackass and everyone around me was wanting him to shut up, too. When I upload the video, you'll be able to hear him clearly. You'd have to be deaf not to notice.
Re: About the Norton fans
I listened to the radio and it sounded like I heard Burton fans yelling at the refs during the injury. I'd be embarrassed. I get very embarrassed if PV fans do that.

Pass Man I think you are exaggerating just a little. I was sitting in the same area as you (actually right beside you I think) and I did not hear any profanity. Just the guy yelling that the refs were horrible. Maybe I missed something.

I didn't hear any foul language in particular, just constant shouting and griping and yelling for the entire duration of the game - mostly targeted at the refs.
Re: About the Norton fans
Yeah, he does it every game.

They had a player down on the field, Coleman, I believe. And I could here fans saying crap to the refs, calling them idiots etc. I'm sorry, but when a player is down, you behave yourself, and if it's one of your own, that is even more of a reason to keep your mouth shut. I know that no one likes to lose, but that kind of behavior is inexcusable. </div></div>
typical norton fans......they have no class. </div></div>
I was sitting very close to a couple of our(Raider's) "obnoxious" fans, but there was just as many on the Clintwood side. I do not think that all Raider fans should be classified in one group. I was sitting very near a couple of guys, one a grown man and one a highschool student who was yelling at the refs during the injury timeout, and I think it was out of line, but we all should not be classifeid as " the typical raider fan... no class".There is some very classy supportive fans for our team. There was a few greenwave fans yelling very rude comments and remarks during the time that Coleman was down hurt and then again when Talley was hurt. We <u>ALL</u> have those fans. Like said earlier you just have to ignore those.
I am a Raider fan and I stay from beginnning to end no matter what the weather or outcome of the game, as do a lot more fans. I will support the Raiders win or lose, as do a lot more of our fans. <span style="color: #FF6600">I did yell, scream, and cheer for the raiders the entire night.</span> I think fans should cheer for their team and show them their support. I do get embarrased at times at the way some of the grown men act, but every team has those type of fans.
I was also disappointed in the number of fans leaving from Burton's side. It was a very miserable night with the rain and wind, but a true fan stays through thick and thin until the very end. It just shows the boys that we support them no matter what the end score.

Re: About the Norton fans
I think that the rain had a bit to do with the anger over Talley's injury, considering I think we've had to pull out a gun and shoot a player before to get them off the field as quick as possible on a cramp, and it seemed like that went on forever.
If when Coleman was injured, Norton hadn't pulled their team to the side, and then when Clintwood finally got the refs to get them back out there, I thought I was watching a slow motion instant replay (with all Nortons speed, they sure left that sideline slowly *lol*). That being said, thats not really Nortons fault for taking advantage of it, as much as it was the official on that side for not stepping in at first. I think it was a snowball at that point (and you gotta give Clintwood a little rope, for years we've seen Haysi be in a situation where they needed a blow and a Haysi player having the worlds worst cramp for 10 minutes, go off the field and come back in the next play and look faster than they ever had).
I think most of the fans from both sides respect the other and their teams, so i'm not gonna judge Burton by the idiots booing during warmups, don't judge Clintwood by a couple who yell at refs the whole games.
Re: About the Norton fans
did you really expect any better from their fans ahMT ?
Re: About the Norton fans
Agreed ROcketer. I just can't stand reading the rude posts about the "classless" raider fans. I often wonder while reading the forum post that if the JIB raiders closed down their school, then who would most on here "bad mouth and rag" on? There are some rude, classless and obnoxious fans for the Raiders, I will be the first one to say so, but Raider fans are just like any other schools fans, you have the good , the bad and the "idiots". I have some wonderful friends from Clintwood who support their team with much class and respect and I DO NOT judge the entire fanbase by a few "obnoxious" fans and would just appreciate the same respect for us Raider fans.
And I will also add that I witnessed some wonderful sportsmanship on the field tonight from both teams. I thought both teams were respectful of each other and I noticed a lot from both teams of helping the opposing teams player up etc...
